Richmond Beach is one of the oldest neighbourhoods of Shoreline, Washington. Shoreline has a population of over 53,000.
Richmond Beach started as part of ninety-eight acres of land which was deeded to George Fisher in 1872. Mr. Fisher sold the land in 1882 and in 1889 C W Smith named the town Richmond Beach, after one of the Richmonds in England (presumably Richmond-upon-Thames, London).
