New Richmond is a small town of less than 400 people located in the Coal Creek Township, Montgomery County, Indiana, United States.
New Richmond was founded by Samuel Kincaid in 1836. In 1985 the town was transformed into the fictional town of Hickory for the filming of the movie 'Hoosiers' starring Gene Hackman.
New Richmond is well known for its July 4th celebrations held every year at the town's park, which include an all-day car show.
