Richmond County, Nova Scotia

Richmond County is in the Canadian province of Nova Scotia, created in 1835 and named in honour of Sir Charles Lennox, 4th Duke of Richmond, who was Governor General of British North America 1818-1819.

The history and heritage of lighthouses, sailing ships and fisheries, the balance of French Acadian and English languages, and the relaxed island lifestyle inspire the musicians and artisans who live and work in the county.
